Tissue Paper Ghosts with Googly Eyes

Each ghost is made from tissue paper and googly eyes using materials from the Halloween kit. They are then hung from a piece of cotton cord.

1. Cut a 22x22 cm piece of tissue paper for each ghost.

2. Loosely scrunch up a head from cut-offs measuring approx. 2.5 cm, making sure the head is not too heavy to prevent it from tipping over when hanging.

3. Stuff the head inside a large piece of tissue paper, wrap around and tie it tightly with a long piece of cotton cord.

4. Attach eyes with Clear Multi Glue Gel. Make as many ghosts as you like and tie them equal distances apart onto the cord.

2. Draw spiders' webs with a Plus Color marker.

3. Attach the spiders with Clear Multi Glue gel.

Ghastly Lanterns

The glass lanterns are covered with pieces of torn straw silk paper using vtr adhesive. The lines are made with either window color outliner or 3D liner. Decorated with paper yarn and plastic beetles.

1. Tear straw silk paper into pieces and glue them onto the lantern using vtr adhesive.

2. Draw with a black window color outliner or a 3D liner.

3. If the lanterns are intended to stand outside, we recommend they are varnished with decoupage lacquer for glass or with paverpol sculpting medium.

Painted Pumpkins

The pumpkins are painted and patinated using craft paint.

1. Paint one half of the pumpkin either with green or orange craft paint (enabling you to hold on to a non-painted area). Here we have started with eucalyptus green.

2. Paint orange craft paint on top of the first layer of green paint on one side of the pumpkin (wet on wet) using an almost dry brush. You may smooth the paint with a little water on the brush. Then paint the other side of the pumpkin using the same procedure.

3. You may apply another coat of paint on top (a thin green coat of paint). The orange colour should still be visible.

4. Using a pointed brush, paint the grooves of the pumpkin with a mixture of the following paint colours; chocolate, pumpkin and/or army green.

5. Now work with almost no paint on the brush and the colour army green. The colour underneath must shine through. Play with the colours on the pumpkin to make it look like the real thing!

Polystyrene Bat

Ready to fly! We've covered and decorated flat polystyrene shapes with foam clay, then made wings from foam rubber and finally added legs made from pipe cleaners.

1. Cover and decorate the polystyrene shapes with foam clay.

2. Cut the wings out of foam rubber following a template. "Glue" on with foam clay.

3. Attach the hanging string with foam clay.

4. Make the legs and claws from pipe cleaners and stick into the body. Leave to dry.
